Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned product leader in the medical device space to guide portfolio strategy and drive new product development from ideation through launch. You will synthesize customer and market insights, translate needs into requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to optimize portfolio performance.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, financing of business cases, and development of evidence-based messaging with Clinical Affairs and Product Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 6+ years of work experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Onsite in Mahwah, NJ office 3x per week.
  • 3+ years medical device or marketing experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate customer, market, and competitive insights to guide portfolio strategy and future product development.
  • Translate customer and market needs into product requirements.
  • Generate data-driven recommendations to support portfolio decisions.
  • Lead product lifecycle management to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize market research, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and third-party data.
  • Develop customer, patient, and stakeholder insights and compelling value propositions.
  • Evaluate market research methodologies and results, including statistical significance, hypothesis testing, validity, and reliability.
  • Lead cross-functional new product development and commercialization efforts.
  • Build and maintain financial business cases, including investment analysis, forecasting, acquisition and retention economics, market opportunity assessments, and ROI models.
  • Develop business and marketing objectives, commercialization strategies, and launch plans.
  • Develop evidence-generation, publication, and messaging strategies with Clinical Affairs and Product Marketing.
  • Identify, prioritize, and evaluate market segments, growth opportunities, and incremental volume sources.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including value propositions, pricing, sales enablement, channel communications, and marketing channels.
  • Monitor market dynamics, sales trends, and business performance to develop forecasts and success metrics.
  • Lead product lifecycle activities including launch planning, portfolio optimization, risk mitigation, and supply-chain contingency planning.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Product Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders
