Job summary

Fluence is seeking a seasoned Portfolio Finance Manager to oversee the financial performance of major, multi‑discipline projects in the Americas. You will coordinate with project managers to ensure budgets, revenue recognition, and margins are tracked accurately while maintaining strong internal controls.

The role requires deep accounting expertise, contract term fluency, and the ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of financially managing large projects.
• Advanced understanding of project accounting methods.
• Experience with commercial contract terms and risk.
• Experience negotiating with customers and suppliers.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems.
• Bachelor's in accounting or finance; MBA/CPA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be financially responsible for a portfolio of large projects in the Americas.
• Provide timely transparency around project performance vs budget.
• Ensure adherence to accounting guidelines and terms.
• Highlight risks and manage change orders and supplier claims.
• Review project transactions and monitor forecasts and penalties.
• Mentor junior Portfolio Finance Managers and improve processes.
