Qualifications

Role Description The Portfolio Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for overseeing the financial performance of a portfolio of energy storage projects. This role includes monitoring project-level revenues, costs, and cash flows, preparing periodic financial reports, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The Portfolio Finance Manager collaborates with project management, operations, commercial, and accounting teams to optimize portfolio profitability and ensure accurate financial tracking. Day-to-day tasks also include evaluating financial risks, participating in investment decisions, supporting contract review from a financial perspective, and contributing to process improvements and financial controls across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Strong financial analysis, portfolio management, and project finance skills, including experience with cash flow modeling and profitability assessment.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel; familiarity with ERP or financial reporting systems and business intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of energy, infrastructure, or renewable power markets and an understanding of long-term contracts, PPAs, and asset management concepts.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, as well as variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data, communicate insights clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
• Prior experience in portfolio management, project finance, or corporate finance, ideally within energy, utilities, or related sectors.
