Job summary

Avantor is seeking a highly experienced Principal Portfolio Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex, global CAPEX programs within its Life Sciences business. You will manage governance, funding, and execution to deliver measurable business value across manufacturing, engineering, IT, and real estate domains.

Responsibilities include steering multi-year roadmaps, cross-functional team leadership, and executive communication to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and stage-gate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PM, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive project, program, and portfolio management experience with global CAPEX programs.
• PMO practices, governance, and executive reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global portfolio of CAPEX programs and capital investments up to and beyond $50M.
• Drive end-to-end project execution from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Develop and present business cases, gate reviews, and executive recommendations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, EHS, IT, Real Estate, Supply Chain, and Commercial.
• Establish KPIs, track benefits realization, and optimize capital deployment.
