Avantor is seeking a highly experienced Principal Portfolio Project Manager to lead a portfolio of global programs and capital investments within its Life Sciences business. This role combines portfolio governance with end-to-end project delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to maximize business value.

The role requires a track record of managing large CAPEX efforts, strategic prioritization, and executive communication across a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PM, Operations, Manufacturing or related discipline required
• Minimum 12 years of progressive project, program and portfolio management experience including global CAPEX

Responsabilités

• Lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives and capital investments across functions (Engineering, Operations, EHS, PSM, Real Estate, IT, Supply Chain, Commercial).
• Manage multiple concurrent global programs and CAPEX projects from concept to handover.
• Drive stage-gate governance, business case development, and executive investment decisions.
• Maintain budgets, forecasts, schedules, risks, and benefits realization across the portfolio.
• Provide executive reporting on portfolio health, capital deployment and program performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and external vendors to optimize value delivery.
• Mentor PMs and teams on project management best practices.
