Job summary

The Chemours Company in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to join the Washington Works Polymers Manufacturing Technology team. The role provides engineering guidance to Operations, Maintenance and Technology, supporting troubleshooting and improvement programs.

Responsibilities include leading process improvement, capital projects, incident investigations, participating in PHA, and providing environmental support; travel is under 10%.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering
• Knowledge of equipment in a chemical plant: pumps, compressors, piping, distillation columns, reactors, refrigeration, etc.
• Good oral and written communication
• Five+ years of engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Act as a Chemical Engineering resource.
• Recommend and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations.
• Participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA).
• Lead capital projects for various improvements.
• Provide environmental support.
• Travel requirements under 10%
