Job summary

Colorado Department of Corrections is seeking a Compliance and Publication Coordinator at the Limon facility to support safe operations and ensure policy adherence. You will design and apply strategic planning to maintain compliance with COPD, state and federal laws, and internal standards.

The role requires auditing, policy drafting, and coordination with supervisors and management teams to meet compliance targets and publish updates to policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of relevant experience in analyzing operating methods, procedures, policies and preparing reports; or managing and coordinating an accreditation, auditing, life safety and/or correctional program(s).
• A combination of education and relevant experience equal to six (6) years.
• Strong problem solving, planning and organizational skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Function as the facility policy coordinator by setting policy committee reviews, publishing and distributing drafts and final documents.
• Manage facility implementation adjustments and memorandums to ensure compliance with standards and laws.
• Ensure updates to internal policies and procedures are communicated to staff and incarcerated population.
• Establish cooperative relationships with stakeholders and resolve policy issues.
• Conduct monthly inspections to ensure sanitation, chemical control, and tool control practices.
• Audit facilities to determine adherence to standards, ARs, IA’s and laws.
• Perform regular inspections to verify compliance with policy.
