Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a Manager, Program Management to lead the PMO, guiding program managers and overseeing multiple shipyard and defense programs.

This senior role focuses on program leadership, governance, and team development to ensure consistent execution across development, integration, installation, and upgrades. You will partner with engineering, operations, and finance to drive on-time delivery, risk mitigation, and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years leading program managers or cross-functional teams.
• Navy shipbuilding or defense/shipyard experience preferred.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and Earned Value Management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Program Management team to ensure consistent PM processes and best practices.
• Oversee cost, schedule, and technical performance across the portfolio.
• Serve as a primary customer contact for program execution and risk discussions.
• Develop proposals and support business growth.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance).
