Job summary

Pole Star Defense seeks a Senior Project Manager to independently execute federal programs within our PMO, bridging federal compliance and Agile execution to deliver on contract milestones.

You will shape backlog priorities, coordinate government interfaces, manage risks, and advance PMO standards while guiding cross-functional teams in a demanding security-focused environment. This role requires a proactive leader with federal contracting and Agile delivery experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of tech/software project management experience
• Deep Agile/Scrum fluency with backlog management
• Knowledge of mods/PoP and security compliance workstreams

Responsibilities

• Own program delivery, milestone tracking, and contract timelines
• Maintain risk register and shield delivery teams from volatility
• Coordinate delivery across departments and manage budgets
• Shape backlogs to align with contract commitments and sprint goals
• Act as PMO liaison for government interfaces and reporting
• Develop scalable PMO standards, templates, and handoffs
