Job summary

The University of Florida on the Main Campus in Gainesville seeks a Senior Manager, PMO to provide strategic and operational leadership for a unified PMO, overseeing enterprise-wide project intake, prioritization, governance, and delivery.

You will supervise staff, establish standards, drive PMO maturity, manage risk, report via Power BI, align with stakeholders, and mentor project managers. This is a time-limited, soft-funded role with travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience and leadership of PM teams.
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall and portfolio governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the unified PMO, setting vision, standards, and direction for portfolio execution.
• Oversee project intake, prioritization, governance and delivery alignment.
• Mentor PMs and implement best practices; drive PMO maturity improvements.
• Develop detailed project plans and manage budgets and staffing.
• Provide data-driven portfolio reporting using Power BI dashboards.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and manage risks and change.
