Job summary

ClearGov is hiring a Senior Manager, PMO to build and scale the project management function from the ground up. This hands-on leadership role operates strategically and tactically, designing repeatable processes while coaching a growing team of PMs.

You will shape governance, templates, and workflows as ClearGov scales 3x over the next 3–4 years, delivering for government clients at scale and driving continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in project/program management with 3+ years in PMO leadership or team management.
• Experience in SaaS, GovTech, public sector, or highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated success building or scaling a PMO from early stage to structured, repeatable practice.
• Proven track record growing a team of PMs/Implementation Managers with coaching and performance management.
• Direct experience with Salesforce, Rocketlane, ChurnZero and Gong or similar tools.
• Experience managing executive-level client escalations in government/public sector contexts.
• Strong command of Agile and traditional/Waterfall methodologies and applying them appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing PMO team aligned with company growth (e.g., $50M to $150M ARR).
• Define career paths, performance management, coaching frameworks, and onboarding for PMO staff.
• Foster accountability, client-centricity, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
• Act as player-coach—hands-on delivery while developing direct reports into future leaders.
• Stand up formal PMO with governance, methodology, and playbooks for public sector implementations.
• Design templates for charters, implementation plans, status reports, RAID logs, and change orders.
• Define intake-to-close workflows to ensure consistency and scalability across the project portfolio.
• Establish KPIs/dashboards for project health, resource use, on-time/on-budget delivery, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as escalation point for high-visibility govt client implementations.
• Partner with client stakeholders to manage expectations, timelines, and scope.
• Lead executive-level status reviews and steering committees.
