Job summary

Delta Dental of Washington is seeking an experienced Manager, PMO to lead enterprise programs and large‑scale initiatives. You will guide a Project Manager and a Business Systems Analyst, drive process improvements, and collaborate with partners across DDWA and TriForza teams to achieve strategic goals.

You will mentor teams, protect project timelines, manage budgets, and align outcomes with business objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, courage, curiosity, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; experience may substitute for a degree.
• 6+ years leading cross-functional technical initiatives at scale.
• PMP certification preferred; knowledge of project management methodologies required.
• Experience mentoring teams and managing complex programs.
• Experience with planning carve-outs or mergers/acquisitions preferred.
• Strong communication; ability to influence and inspire.
• Experience with Agile development and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop organizational change strategies, communication plans, and risk mitigation.
• Plan scope, results, timing, and resource plans with sponsors and teams.
• Maintain relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders across partner teams.
• Identify, analyze, and overcome risks and opportunities across multiple projects.
• Align program outcomes with organizational goals; think big picture.
• Lead and coach the PMO team; attract and retain talent.
• Oversee complex projects from initiation to delivery, including scope, resources, and risks.
• Direct project planning, execution, and closing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely milestones.
• Develop and manage budgets; deliver against business goals.
