Job summary

Switchback Medical in Minneapolis seeks a Sr. Director of Program Management to lead the PMO, build strategy, and own the customer experience across the portfolio from new product development through design transfer and sustaining work.

This leader-of-leaders role focuses on developing the PMO team, standardizing practices, and influencing senior stakeholders to deliver programs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, life sciences, or equivalent).
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
• Extensive experience leading program management in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead the PMO team—Program Directors, Program Managers and Project Managers.
• Set expectations and development plans to advance staff through roles.
• Assign programs by complexity and balance workload across the team.
• Coach PMs through difficult customer discussions and cross-functional conflicts.
• Establish portfolio-level metrics and report health and recommendations to leadership.
