Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Project Manager / Professional Mechanical Engineer to lead multi-discipline teams on heavy industrial projects in Minnesota. The role spans from facility design to construction, with responsibilities for technical, quality, and financial oversight, plus mentoring team members.

Hybrid work arrangement with travel 10–20% and flexibility to base in Duluth or Bloomington, MN. Strong diagnostic and client-communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive technical design experience with emphasis on industrial ventilation and dust collection systems, HVAC and/or pumping and piping.
• Prior experience designing systems for mining or heavy industrial facilities.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline projects with service fees >$300,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams for facility design to demolition across heavy industrial projects.
• Scope project requirements, lead design efforts, verify calculations and equipment sizing.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to standards and technical reviews.
