Job summary

SSOE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team in Phoenix, AZ and Austin, TX. You will lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial facilities, directing multidisciplinary teams from concept through startup.

You will balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client expectations, while mentoring other project managers and supporting business development. This is a client-facing role requiring travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture; 4 years in lieu of degree acceptable.
• 8+ years in the design industry; 5+ years as a Project Manager in engineering/construction.
• Experience with major capital industrial projects; automotive plant experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; client-facing and business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for multidisciplinary project teams from planning through completion.
• Develop project execution plans, resource strategies, and delivery approaches.
• Align scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management objectives.
• Monitor financial performance, invoicing, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Drive communication, accountability, and collaboration among stakeholders.
• Mentor project managers and support project delivery excellence.
• Support business development, pursuits, proposals, and client engagements.
