Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team in Phoenix, AZ or Austin, TX. You will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities from concept through startup, directing multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams responsible for high‑tech, mission‑critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture, or additional four years of experience in lieu of a technical degree.
• 8+ years of experience in the design industry preferred, with 5+ years as a Project Manager in an engineering or construction organization.
• Managing the design of major capital industrial projects within an engineering or architecture consulting firm is required.
• Experience in automotive plants projects is highly desired.
• Strong experience in industrial/manufacturing plants projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for multidisciplinary project teams from planning through completion.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and strategic stakeholders.
• Develop project execution plans, resource strategies, and delivery approaches.
• Align scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management objectives.
• Facilitate change management and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor financial performance, invoicing, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Manage contracts for consultants and external service providers.
• Drive communication, accountability, and collaboration among stakeholders.
• Mentor project managers and support project delivery excellence.
• Support business development, pursuits, presentations, qualifications, and fee proposals.
• Travel as necessary for client and project engagement.
