Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale industrial EPC electrical or mechanical construction projects onsite in Houston.

You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients, subs, and field operations while mentoring project teams. Travel up to 70% with per diem provided; PMP and Primavera/MS Project experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical, mechanical, industrial, utility, or EPC construction with senior leadership experience.
• Proven success leading multimillion-dollar projects with financial and operational responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of electrical or mechanical construction disciplines and safety standards.
• Advanced contract, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk mitigation skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; PMP and OSHA 30 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for large-scale electrical, mechanical, or industrial construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, changes, and financial reporting with risk mitigation.
• Direct and coordinate project teams, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Develop relationships with clients, owners, and general contractors; lead contract negotiations.
• Oversee scheduling, procurement, labor productivity, and material management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and contractual specifications.
• Coach and mentor project managers and engineers; collaborate on process improvements.
