Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Manager for ground-up commercial construction in Reston, VA. The role oversees large-scale projects valued above $20 million, focusing on site work and new construction, with accountability for safety, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.

The position is hybrid from Reston, VA, with initial work on an 18-month Manassas project, then broader Northern Virginia assignments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Project Manager in construction, including ground-up commercial projects.
• Experience managing projects valued at $30M+ with site work focus.
• Experience with general contractor environments, not owner’s rep.
• Ability to read and apply contract documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field activities to meet milestone dates and schedule.
• Develop short-interval look-ahead schedules and track progress.
• Maintain safety, quality, and client satisfaction across sites.
• Coordinate construction activities per contract documents and standards.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, inspections, and closeout activities.
