Job summary

PACE Systems, a Commercial Contracting Corporation company, is hiring a Project Manager / Estimator for Advanced Facilities & Controlled Environments in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The role oversees cradle-to-grave management of technically complex construction projects across the United States, from preconstruction through closeout.

The position requires leading clients, design teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to develop competitive estimates, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, mission critical, or specialty construction environments.
• Experience in project management, estimating, or a combined Project Manager/Estimator capacity.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost controls.
• Proficiency reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Knowledge of construction estimating software, project management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from award through closeout.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and financial performance.
• Oversee cost controls, forecasting, change management, and contract administration.
• Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and develop recovery plans when necessary.
• Ensure projects comply with contract documents and client expectations.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities.
