Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Management to own the discovery experience across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. You will lead a team of product managers covering discovery, search, and agentic shopping, balancing delight with technical depth.

The role emphasizes AI-native experiences, personalization, and brand storytelling, collaborating with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Marketing. A Bachelor's degree and 8+ years PM experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in search, recommendations, and/or conversational AI, incl. query understanding, retrieval, ranking, and personalization.
• Ability to assess ML/AI relevance: evaluate ranking, retrieval, and LLM output; distinguish a great model from a good demo.
• Experience working with third-party technology providers to ship AI-powered experiences.
• Fluency in A/B testing and experimentation.
• Enough technical grounding to effectively partner with Data Science and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and roadmap: Define the multi-year strategy for discovery across homepage, PDP, search, and browse for Nordstrom and Rack.
• Tell the story behind the roadmap and align partners and senior leaders.
• Build the AI-native experience with features like search summaries and virtual try-on.
• Own personalization and relevance using catalog data and customer insights for Nordstrom and Rack.
• Design for feeling and partner with Creative, Design, and Research on end-to-end journeys.
• Tell the brand story from homepage to product page and maintain editorial voice.
• Judge ML/AI quality by defining evaluation methods and deciding readiness for customers.
• Partner across Engineering, Data Science, Design, Digital Merchandising, Marketing, and Stores.
• Lead and grow the team: coach PMs and raise the bar for craft.
• Measure KPIs such as conversion, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
