You will guide personalization, recommendations, search, and product understanding, turning insights into scalable capabilities. This role requires 10+ years in data science or ML, 3+ years leading teams, and a strong track record delivering customer value through experimentation and AI-enabled

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles.
• 3+ years managing Data Science, Applied Science, or Machine Learning teams with customer-facing products.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
• Deep experience in personalization, recommendation systems, search/ranking, or digital commerce.
• Strong knowledge of experimentation, statistical measurement, and causal inference.
• Ability to connect scientific work to product and business decisions.
• Experience moving teams toward reusable platforms or scalable capabilities.
• Experience applying ML and GenAI techniques to real customer/business problems, including daily use of AI tools and LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Set the data science strategy for personalization, recommendations, search, and digital product discovery.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, UX, and business leaders to identify high-value customer problems.
• Establish hypotheses, success measures, targets, guardrails, and decision criteria before experiments.
• Build a team culture that links model performance to customer behavior and business value.
• Develop experimentation and measurement discipline connecting model results to outcomes.
• Coach and develop a high-performing team of data scientists and ML engineers.
• Identify repetitive data science work to standardize and create reusable capabilities.
• Use GenAI and AI capabilities to accelerate research, experimentation, and learning.
