Job summary

Savills North America is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Los Angeles to lead complex design and construction projects from inception to closeout. You will coordinate architects, engineers, and contractors, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure client goals are met with top quality.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in design/construction, GMP familiarity, and strong leadership to manage teams and client relationships. In-person work four days weekly with Friday remote is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction.
• 8+ years of relevant design/construction experience on-site.
• This is a construction-focused technical PM role, not IT or admin.
• Experience with GMP methodology is required.
• Proven ability to manage teams and client relationships.
• Strong budget and schedule management skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in person in Los Angeles four days per week, with Friday remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle from pre-design through closeout.
• Coordinate architecture, engineering, and consultants across teams.
• Manage design review, value engineering, and technical oversight.
• Prepare and coordinate construction documents with long-lead items.
• Lead bidding, procurement, and contractor contract negotiations.
• Monitor progress with field reports, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, and punch lists.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
• Oversee vendors, consultants, and subcontractors for QA/QC and financials.
• Develop and implement project schedule and budget controls.
• Anticipate risks and guide decision-making with clients.
• Maintain client relationships and grow industry networks.
• Lead project teams and support executive communications when needed.
