Job summary

MGAC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex multi-phased projects, oversee design management, contract management, and client communications, and ensure field progress and quality control.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, a related degree, strong analytical and leadership skills, and proficiency with Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, and PDF tools. Expect 4-5 days on-site in LA with client-focused collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in construction project management and knowledge of building design and construction processes.
• Experience with base building, commercial, cultural, life sciences, corporate fit-out or developer work and site construction.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project or Primavera P6, PDF tools and project management platforms such as Procore.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of project managers to execute multi-phased projects and manage client expectations.
• Oversee construction oversight, design management, contract management and project communications.
• Monitor field progress, analyze schedules and ensure quality control.
• Interface with construction team and client decision-makers to build trust.
• Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, monitoring and closeout.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare accurate project documentation for all phases.
• Advocate for the client during disputes or changes, and manage invoices and POs.
• Maintain relationships with industry, vendors and professional organizations.
