Job summary

MGAC in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead multi-phased projects on-site, coordinating design, contracts, and client communications. You will monitor field progress, analyze schedules, and ensure quality while interfacing with decision-makers and vendors.

A strong track record in base building, commercial, or life sciences projects is required. The role emphasizes collaboration, risk mitigation, and accurate documentation across all project phases, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in construction management, Business, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical) or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in construction project management with thorough understanding of building design and construction process.
• Experience with base building, commercial, cultural, life sciences, corporate fit-out and/or developer work; site construction experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project or Primavera P6, Adobe Acrobat or PDF tools (Bluebeam, Nitro), and Procore or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an active member of a team of project managers executing multi-phased projects and manage client expectations.
• Experience with construction oversight, design management, contract management and project communications.
• Monitor progress in the field, perform schedule analysis and ensure quality control.
• Interface with construction team and client decision-makers.
• Participate in meetings covering budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, monitoring and closeout.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee and prepare accurate project documentation for all phases.
• Advocate for the client during disputes or change orders.
• Track invoices, purchase orders, and other financial obligations.
• Maintain relationships with the wider construction industry and vendors.
