Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Construction Manager (SPM) I/II for on-site work in Los Angeles, CA. The role demands extensive leadership of large, complex projects with budgets often exceeding $50 million and involves coordination across multiple district departments.

Candidates should have extensive education in architecture/engineering/construction management and may substitute CCM CMAA credentials. Design-build experience, BIM, LEED/CHPS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years full-time paid professional project/construction management experience.
• Ten (10) of the 20 years must be managing large programs with projects >$50M (not cumulative).
• Five (5) years' experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside California).
• Graduation from a recognized college/university with a degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.

Responsibilities

• Resolves complex construction project issues, disputes, and disagreements.
• Develops, assigns, and monitors performance of OARs relative to assigned projects.
• Reviews status and progress relative to construction schedules.
• Reviews change orders and their impact on the district.
• Assists with bid and contract planning.
• Reviews bid specifications for district needs and timelines.
• Monitors cost control and scheduling databases.
• Oversees contracts for Architects and consultants.
• Coordinates program activities with multiple district branches.
