Job summary

Shippo seeks a Senior Product Manager to own the Carrier Capabilities strategy and drive scalable carrier integrations. You will partner with engineering, partnerships, and operations to design standard carrier capabilities and reliable API abstractions.

This role blends product leadership with technical insight, guiding cross‑functional delivery, measuring quality and cost, and influencing stakeholders across the company as we expand our global carrier network.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Product Management experience with significant experience owning technical platforms or APIs.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑team initiatives with high ambiguity and high impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and strategy for Carrier Capabilities, aligned to Shippo’s growth, reliability, and cost goals.
• Translate business goals (revenue growth, retention, carrier expansion) into a prioritized carrier capabilities roadmap.
• Define standardized carrier capabilities and how they are represented internally.
• Own product decisions for carrier API abstractions, configuration models, error standards, and quality requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery for new carrier integrations, major upgrades, and deprecations with engineering and technical program management.
• Measure performance indicators for carrier integrations and build visibility into carrier health and capability maturity.
