Job summary
Buildertrend is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Search team to redefine how builders locate items across a large corpus of project data. You will steer the shift from keyword search to fully model-based, including ranking, retrieval, and personalization, with ownership of AI-assisted outputs.
You will design experiments and collaborate with engineering to deploy production-ready ranking models, measure success through CTR, match quality, and adoption, and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Experience owning search, recommendations, personalization or ranking systems
- Proven ability to improve search and relevance metrics and link them to adoption and revenue
Responsibilities
- Define product direction for Search and own the roadmap for ranking, retrieval and personalization
- Lead evolution to model-based, LLM-powered search across structured and unstructured data
- Build and refine algorithmic feedback loops to feed signals back into ranking improvements
- Design/evaluate experiments to measure impact on search quality and user outcomes
- Collaborate with engineering and data science on data aggregation, model development and serving in production
