Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a senior product manager to reimagine guest search. You will drive the vision for intelligent, AI-powered search and partner with engineering, design, and data science to deliver breakthroughs in query understanding and ranking.

You will own the end-to-end search experience, influence strategy with data-driven insights, and collaborate across teams to reduce friction and improve guest satisfaction. This is a high-visibility role reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

10+ years of consumer product management experience.
Experience on search, discovery, ranking, or recommendation systems.
Genuine excitement about applying modern AI/ML to consumer products.
Strong business acumen with data, research, and experimentation.
Ability to work with ML/data science teams and understand model trade-offs.
Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, design, and data science.
User-centered mindset focusing on how guests search and where they struggle.

Responsibilities

Atypical Day tasks: define long-term vision and roadmap for search, including AI features.
Own end-to-end guest search experience from intent to matches.
Collaborate with engineering, ML, and data science to prototype and ship AI search.
Use A/B testing and analytics to improve relevance, conversion, and satisfaction.
Translate guest problems into clear requirements with business impact assessment.
Coordinate with design and research to understand search behavior and friction.
Work with Host-side and Trust teams to surface fair, accurate inventory.
Communicate roadmap, results, and trade-offs to partners and leadership.
