Job summary

Buildertrend is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Search team to shape how builders find information across a growing corpus of project data. You will drive the transition from keyword search to LLM-powered search, owning ranking, retrieval, and personalization.

You will collaborate with engineering and data science, design evaluations, define success metrics, and communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management, with ownership of search or personalization.
• Experience designing evaluations to measure model outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of ranking, retrieval, and personalization.
• Familiar with modern retrieval approaches including RAG and model-based search.
• Excellent communication to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define product direction for Search, owning ranking and personalization roadmap.
• Lead evolution to model-based, LLM-powered search over structured and unstructured data.
• Build algorithmic feedback loops using user signals to improve ranking.
• Design and run evaluations to measure model impact on results.
• Collaborate with engineering and data science on data, models, and deployment.
• Establish success metrics and prioritize investments.
