Upstart is an AI-driven lending platform focused on fintech underwriting. We seek a Senior Product Manager to own the HELOC decisioning experience, shaping strategy and roadmaps, and translating complex backend rules into scalable user outcomes for borrowers and lenders.

You will partner with ML teams to automate underwriting with ML/LLMs, navigate risk, capital, and regulatory constraints, and drive cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high-velocity product environments.
• Experience designing complex backend systems.
• Comfortable making decisions with imperfect data and risk tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with ML teams.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and roadmap for HELOC decisioning and verification.
• Own backend logic for underwriting and decisioning systems.
• Lead automation of underwriting using ML and LLMs.
