Job summary

Stantec in Denver is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead design of plumbing and medical gas systems for a range of building projects, ensuring code compliance and high quality documentation. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and pursue sustainable design approaches.

A PE license and 10+ years in plumbing design are required; LEED AP BD+C is preferred, BIM and Revit skills highly valued.

Qualifications

Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architecture Engineering required.
10+ years of experience in plumbing design.
Experience supervising a team of engineers.
LEED AP BD+C preferred.
Familiarity with BIM and Revit.

Responsibilities

Create and prepare designs for plumbing and medical gas systems.
Perform water, waste, gas calculations and specifications.
Coordinate schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
Design plumbing systems including water, sanitary, storm, medical gases and lab gases.
Incorporate sustainable design methods and green documentation.
Mentor junior staff and coordinate with architecture and other engineering teams.
Deliver projects across multiple delivery models and manage submittals/RFIs.
Maintain QA/QC across project phases.
