Job summary

Stantec's Northeast Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team is seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer to design a broad range of plumbing systems from concept to construction documents. You will use Revit and collaborate with designers, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality designs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years designing plumbing systems, knowledge of codes, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Drafting/Design from an accredited college or technical school.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience designing plumbing systems is required.
• Certified Plumbing Design (CPD) credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the design team from conceptual design through construction documents on plumbing systems.
• Develop conceptual design options and work with team and client to final construction documents.
• Produce plumbing design documents from schematic design through construction documents using Revit, including calculations and specifications.
• Organize project requirements with minimal direction.
• Knowledge of codes and regulatory requirements applicable to plumbing design.
• Manage deadlines and prioritize assignments effectively.
• Communicate with clients, project managers, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with design standards and review shop drawings and RFIs.
