Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas. You will review installations for compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements, conduct inspections and testing, and issue recommendations throughout construction.

The role requires a valid plumbing license, 10+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain access to military installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; plumbing training preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum 10 years in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specs, shop drawings, and docs.
• Experience with federal/DoD/military construction preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 construction safety certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to military installations.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Understand IPC/UFC requirements and project features.
• Attend meetings to discuss work for project success.
• Perform plan reviews and field inspections of plumbing systems.
• Schedule inspections and surveys across construction phases.
• Evaluate work practices for code and contract compliance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on design, construction features, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct final acceptance tests of installed plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and RFIs to ensure proper documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
