Accura Engineering in Texas is seeking a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA support for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood. The role ensures compliance with IPC, UFC, and federal standards throughout design, installation, and commissioning.

The candidate should have a valid plumbing license and 10+ years in plumbing installations and inspections, with DoD/military project experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; plumbing training preferred.
• Valid plumbing license required.
• 10+ years in plumbing installation, inspection, or construction oversight.
• Knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience with DoD/military projects preferred.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
• Driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Review plumbing system installations for compliance with codes and contract requirements.
• Conduct inspections and testing throughout the construction process.
• Provide technical recommendations and guidance to improve work practices and design.
• Review submittals and RFIs to ensure proper documentation.
• Schedule final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and government representatives.
