Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Plumber Technician to provide oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

You will review installations, ensure compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements, and work with project managers, engineers, contractors, and government representatives. The ideal candidate has a plumbing license, 10+ years of experience, and knowledge of IPC/UFC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; plumbing licensure required.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum 10 years in plumbing installation, inspection, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience with federal/DoD/USACE projects preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 Construction Safety Certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain military installation access; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review plumbing system installations for compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements.
• Inspect and test plumbing systems across federal construction projects.
• Provide technical recommendations throughout construction lifecycle.
• Attend meetings with PMs, engineers, contractors, and government representatives.
• Prepare detailed reports and comments on plumbing features and improvements.
• Conduct final acceptance tests of installed plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and RFIs, and address field changes.
