Job summary

LVI Associates in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) / Survey Project Manager to join a growing team. This role leads projects from proposal through final delivery, works directly with clients, mentors staff, and helps expand the firm’s Charlotte presence.

The ideal candidate holds a NC PLS license or reciprocity, has 5+ years of progressive surveying experience, and is proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble, or Leica.

Qualifications

• NC Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or reciprocity
• 5+ years of progressive surveying experience
• Strong background managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys
• Working knowledge of survey technologies (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble, Leica) and related tools
• Strong communication and client relationships skills
• Leadership mindset with a passion for growing a team and practice

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage land surveying projects from proposal through final delivery
• Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, route, construction, and utility surveys
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, developers, and stakeholders
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Review survey deliverables and ensure quality control standards
• Mentor and develop survey crews, technicians, and junior staff
• Assist with business development and expand the Charlotte region presence
