Job summary

ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, hires a PLC Engineer to develop and integrate PLC-based control systems for EUV technologies. You will design software/firmware for Siemens PLCs, define specifications, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver reliable automation solutions.

The role requires experience with Siemens tools (TIA Portal, PLCSIM, SIMIT) and PID control while promoting best practices in industrial automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience designing PLC-based industrial automation and control systems.
• Experience programming Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal, PLCSIM, HMI, and related Siemens tools.
• Experience with Siemens SIMIT simulation platform and PLC validation methodologies.
• Proficiency with LAD, SCL, FBD, and STL programming languages.
• Experience implementing PID control loops and industrial control architectures.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to define system requirements.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of electronic systems at module and system level.
• Experience with PLC test benches, digital twins, design validation, and qualification activities.
• Experience with auto-generated PLC code from Simulink models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design software and firmware for Siemens PLC systems that meet requirements, cost targets, and schedules.
• Define system specifications and translate requirements into robust control solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of reliable products.
• Select and evaluate hardware architectures and components for complex, high-precision systems.
• Promote best practices in PLC design and industrial automation methodologies.
• Develop and maintain PLC test benches and simulation environments for validation.
• Support system integration, troubleshooting, validation, and qualification activities.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and adoption of new technologies.
• Provide accurate project status updates and engineering documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
