Job summary

VisiConsult X-ray Solutions Americas Corp. seeks a Field Automation Engineer - PLC & Robotics (m/f/d) in the US to support customers by integrating complex automation solutions. You will work with SIEMENS and Allen-Bradley PLCs and robotics systems in a family-owned, international environment.

You will troubleshoot on-site, install, and optimize systems, while collaborating with US and German teams to ensure reliability and strong customer service. Travel and technical proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering preferred.
• One year of experience in a similar position is a plus.
• Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley) and drives.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for PLCs.
• Knowledge of robotic systems (industrial robots e.g. Yaskawa, Fanuc, ABB) is a plus.
• Basic LabVIEW knowledge for troubleshooting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Windows (Network, Office, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English (technical proficiency).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, drive and robotics issues on-site.
• Commission, integrate, and modify PLCs and robotic systems.
• Perform diagnostics and optimize system performance.
• Maintain robotic systems for smooth operations at customer locations.
• Collaborate with teams in the US and Germany for system reliability.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support and address customer inquiries.
• Train and assist customers in system functionality and troubleshooting.
