Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, industrial controls, or PLC-based design.
• Proven ability to lead complex automation and controls projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, PLC/DDC architecture, electrical controls, and engineering best practices.
• Proficiency with design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, or similar platforms.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols and system integration (BACnet, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP).
• Travel up to 25%.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of building automation and PLC-based control solutions for data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, laboratories, central utility plants, and other critical environments.
• Translate project requirements, contract documents, and customer standards into complete control system design packages, including drawings, panel layouts, I/O lists, network architecture, BOMs, sequences of operation, and commissioning documentation.
• Collaborate with programmers, project managers, commissioning specialists, field technicians, contractors, consultants, and customers to ensure designs are executable and project objectives are achieved.
• Review plans, specifications, codes, and customer requirements while performing design reviews, quality assurance checks, and risk assessments.
• Serve as a senior technical resource by mentoring engineers and driving standards across complex automation projects.
