Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead UI/UX Full Stack Engineer for Platform Quality and Reliability. This hands-on role focuses on production-readiness, observability, and scalable reliability for the NBA platform. You will work closely with delivery pods and act as a key contributor each sprint.

You will own uptime, performance, and resilience, and you will build testing frameworks, monitoring, and robust error handling. Remote/hybrid work is offered with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of project leadership experience.
• 5+ years of full stack software engineering with 1-2 years on platform reliability/quality/SRE.
• 5+ years of progressive tech experience as a senior developer on large projects.
• Hands-on experience building and owning testing infrastructure (unit/integration/end-to-end).
• Strong observability skills: logging, tracing, metrics, alerting.
• Experience designing and enforcing error handling patterns across distributed systems.
• Proficiency across Java, Python, Node.js, and TypeScript; polyglot stack.

Responsibilities

• Own uptime, performance, and resilience across NBA platform services; identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Actively write and ship production code as a hands-on contributor.
• Build and maintain automated testing infrastructure across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Own logging, alerting, and monitoring; ensure visibility in production.
• Design and enforce error handling for distributed services.
• Evaluate component load and ensure scalable reliability as data grows.
• Define and enforce quality gates before handing off code to production.
• Manage quality and reliability engineers within the pod; coordinate with pod leads.
