Job summary

Smarsh is seeking a Sr. Principal, Product Manager to Own the agentic and platform capabilities of the Conduct platform in New York.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with no direct reports, focused on setting product direction and delivering hands-on impact. You will define API surfaces, MCP, and headless workflows for sophisticated customers and AI agents, while owning non-functional requirements such as scale, performance, reliability, security, and multi-tenancy to meet diligence

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience in enterprise-scale products.
• Defined and owned developer-facing API surfaces or extensibility layers as product decisions.
• Shipped products with scale, performance, reliability, or security as product requirements.
• Experience building for both human and programmatic/agentic users or systems.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS in regulated industries and compliance.
• Led through technical authority and influence without direct reports.
• Strong written communication and ability to draft specs and strategy documents.
• Collaborated across Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, and Customer Experience.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy and roadmap for Conduct’s agentic and platform capabilities (API, MCP, headless surfaces).
• Define API surface and programmatic contracts; determine subscription and usage-based packaging.
• Create extensibility models and developer-facing documentation.
• Partner with AI/ML to align intelligence and workflow layers; maintain clean workflow contracts.
• Own non-functional requirements: scale, performance, reliability, security.
• Define agentic workflows such as review, analyst assist, automations; ensure auditable, explainable actions.
• Lead with engineering on capacity, release readiness, and operational discipline.
• Maintain competitive positioning and clear product direction without direct reports.
