Job summary

Housecall Pro seeks a Director of Product Management (Platform) to own the Core Platform vision—identity and access, APIs, data, developer experience, infrastructure, and the AI Software Factory. Lead a team of Product Managers and partner with Engineering, Design, Security, and Data to deliver platform capabilities that accelerate product teams and AI agents.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in product leadership roles with direct people management responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI or agentic tools for engineers or internal users, including defining how their work is evaluated
• Strong technical fluency across APIs, architecture, data, reliability, security, developer tooling, and technical tradeoffs, with the ability to engage credibly with senior engineers
• Proven track record of leading platform product teams and launching or scaling shared capabilities used across multiple products, teams, or customer experiences
• Exceptional judgment and product taste, with the ability to guide teams toward simple, usable solutions to complex technical problems
• Conviction without rigidity, bringing an independent point of view while changing direction when new evidence warrants it
• Strategic and hands-on leadership that stays close enough to customers, teams, and the work to improve actual decisions
• Curious and self-directed, with a track record of learning quickly and succeeding in unfamiliar or ambiguous areas
• Personal resilience to learn from scratch, and successfully thrive in ambiguity
• A rich portfolio of active, self-directed exploration showing either an exceptional breadth of cross-functional interests or a profound depth of specialized mastery
• A strong bias for action that balances speed and urgency with sound judgment, quality, and reliability

Responsibilities

• Own the long-term vision and strategy for the Core Platform at Housecall Pro.
• Balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution across platform areas.
• Lead and grow a high-performing Product Management team.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Security, Data, and other leaders to align priorities.
• Define which shared platform problems to solve once and where flexibility is needed.
• Establish meaningful measures of success for adoption, velocity, reliability, and cost.
• Drive AI-native platform development affecting product and software lifecycle.
• Represent platform priorities to leadership and drive measurable impact.
