Job summary

Buildertrend is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Platform team. You will own foundational platform capabilities, including the design system, identity/authentication, and mobile app infrastructure, partnering with engineering to balance reliability, security, and feature delivery.

You’ll translate complex trade-offs into clear priorities and drive impact for all Buildertrend teams. With 5+ years in B2B product management and a systems-thinking mindset, you’ll guide platform investments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of product management experience in B2B software.
• Proven record of delivering reliable, scalable products.
• Ability to drive large initiatives across teams.
• Strong judgment translating technical decisions into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define a clear platform direction, own the roadmap, and prioritize for reliability, security, and scalability.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs with engineering, including architecture decisions and debt.
• Own authentication and identity workflows for secure access across products.
• Guide mobile infrastructure investments to support performance on iOS and Android.
• Build feedback loops with internal product teams as primary customers.
• Validate opportunities via experiments and data-driven decisions.
• Establish metrics around reliability and developer velocity; adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to meet standards.
• Communicate trade-offs clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
