Job summary

Betterment is seeking a Senior Technical Program & Product Manager within Platform Engineering. You will partner with platform leaders to shape roadmaps for scalable platform services, tooling, and shared components that empower product teams to innovate quickly and safely.

You will influence standards, migrations, and optimization efforts, prioritizing reliability, security, and developer experience while delivering measurable platform outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience shaping and executing roadmaps for backend platforms, infrastructure, developer tooling, SRE, security, APIs, authentication, or related domains.
• Experience leading complex cross-team programs driven by influence and partnership, not direct authority.
• Technical depth to work with senior engineers on backend architecture, reliability, security, and developer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cross-team initiatives framing problems, aligning stakeholders, driving execution, surfacing risks, and measuring outcomes.
• Record and communicate progress with platform leaders, defining clear asks and decisions.
• Coordinate migrations, standards, shared services, and changes to engineering workflows across multiple platform areas.
