Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Software Platform team in San Jose. You will help build the CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, and data infrastructure that underpins our products and internal tooling.

The role is hybrid and requires on-site presence three days per week. With 8+ years of software experience in production, you will work across the stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while delivering reliable, scalable systems for mission-critical

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong experience with Python, C++, or Rust and distributed systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS in scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve high-performance, scalable systems.
• Work across the stack to deliver end-to-end platform capabilities.
• Contribute to architectural decisions shaping core systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and performance issues in production.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate needs into solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Take ownership of features from concept through deployment.
