Job summary

Muon Space in Silicon Valley is seeking a Platform Engineer to own the shared technical foundation of our HPC team. This IC role handles build flows, test environments, and delivery pipelines, turning FPGA/GPU outputs into flight-ready artifacts, with planning rhythms for multiple missions.

Based in San Jose, CA, this hybrid role requires three days on-site. You will own toolchains, collaborate with tech leads, and drive planning accuracy using Jira and Confluence, delivering scalable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA and/or GPU workflows, toolchains, and build/release pipelines.
• Experience owning or contributing to build systems, test environments, and integration pipelines.
• Ability to manage variation and complexity across multiple products or missions via shared components.
• Fluency with Jira (epics/stories, dashboards, JQL) and Confluence; capable of reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve build flows, test environments, and delivery pipelines for FPGA and GPU code.
• Own toolchain environments (synthesis, simulation, cross-compilation, containers) and keep them up-to-date.
• Produce weekly state-of-health reports and keep the Jira roadmap accurate and transparent.
