Job summary

MS2 is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (SaaS Operations) to enhance the reliability, security, and operability of our SaaS platform. This hands-on role designs and automates infrastructure, delivery systems, and operational practices for reliable service delivery and efficient workflows.

You will own AWS infrastructure, production operations, and incident response, collaborating with Engineering, QA, Technical Support, and Product to reduce risk and strengthen deployment and recovery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, software engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience in production SaaS environments.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing).
• Strong production SQL skills for operational troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployment automation, and scripting.
• Proven ownership of production incident handling and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience with production backend services in C#/.NET environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex platform and integration initiatives end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing, release, and production support.
• Own SaaS platform operations across application runtime, AWS infrastructure, and service networking.
• Maintain production server environments with patching, hardening, configuration, backup and recovery, and health monitoring.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for platform, infrastructure, and service‑integration issues.
• Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and operational standards for consistent response quality.
• Monitor platform performance, capacity, and cloud resource utilization to identify risks and optimize efficiency.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, patching, and repeatable workflows.
• Collaborate with Technical Support to turn recurring issues into platform improvements.
• Support SOC 2 and related compliance efforts by implementing controls and audit-ready evidence.
• Operate with autonomy on complex issues and mentor engineers to improve quality and practices.
• Contribute to code reviews and architecture discussions to raise engineering quality.
