Job summary

Service Management Group (SMG) is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, support, and improve core infrastructure for reliability, security, and performance. The role spans cloud, network, identity, messaging, and security, partnering with IT and security teams to resolve incidents and automate repeatable work.

The candidate will lead incident responses, provide senior guidance, optimize cloud and on‑premises environments, and advance observability and disaster recovery practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, network engineering, or related roles.
• Experience designing, operating, and improving cloud/hybrid infrastructure in enterprise or SaaS environments.
• Advanced knowledge of networking across data center and cloud with Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Proficiency with scripting and monitoring distributed infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate responses to complex infrastructure, identity, networking, security, and cloud incidents to restore service.
• Provide senior-level guidance and escalation support across identity, messaging, cloud, virtualization, and security platforms.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of cloud and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security and IT partners to strengthen disaster recovery and recoverability practices.
• Administer and improve enterprise network and security technologies (Azure networking, Cisco ASA/ISE, Umbrella, F5).
• Automate administration tasks using scripting to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Lead or support migrations to cloud environments with minimal disruption.
• Advance site reliability by building reusable platform capabilities and observability.
