Job summary
United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that empowers product teams to ship code safely and rapidly. You will treat the platform as a product, delivering self-service infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and guardrails that reduce toil.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in platform/SRE/DevOps, expert Kubernetes, GitOps with ArgoCD or Flux, and strong Go or Python programming.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, SRE, or core DevOps with IDP experience.
- Kubernetes administration, controllers/operators, Istio/Linkerd, and GitOps with ArgoCD or Flux.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain self-service platform tools and developer portals enabling teams to provision infrastructure, manage environments, and deploy services.
- Maintain automated GitOps pipelines using ArgoCD/Flux with canary, blue-green, and automated rollbacks.
- Maintain cluster health, upgrades, autoscaling, and security across multi-region Kubernetes deployments.
- Write production-grade Go/Python code to build Kubernetes operators, CLI utilities, and API automation.
- Establish platform-wide SLI/SLO tracking, centralized logging/tracing, and automated security and cost policies.
