Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer for a leading technology organization. The Sr.

DevOps Engineer - Platform Interface Team is a fully remote contract opportunity supporting cloud platform operations, deployment automation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. An ideal candidate has hands-on Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and CI/CD experience, plus software engineering background in Python, Go, or Java.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based environments.
Background in software engineering with OO languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar.
Strong troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration across multiple technical teams.

Responsibilities

Design and improve platform services, deployment workflows, and automation solutions that support engineering teams.
Build and maintain Kubernetes-based deployment environments utilizing tools such as ArgoCD.
Create standardized deployment paths and onboarding processes to help teams launch applications on the platform.
Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance reliability, monitoring, security, and operational best practices.
